The second transnational meeting of the PREP project took place in Dublin, Ireland, bringing together partners from TU Dublin, Saarland University, UAB Learnkey, and European Strategy consulting. This meeting followed the one previously held in Saarbrücken, where the project partners had begun to discuss the development of an entrepreneurship education course for prisoners.
Since the last meeting, the project partners have made significant progress in creating the e-learning course content. The course is divided into three parts, each focusing on a different discipline: a sociological perspective, a psychological perspective, and a business perspective on entrepreneurship education for prisoners.
The sociological perspective will examine the social and cultural context in which prisoners are reintegrating into society, including the challenges they face and the support systems available to them. The psychological perspective will delve into the mindset and behaviors necessary for successful entrepreneurship, as well as strategies for overcoming obstacles and achieving success. The business perspective will cover key concepts and skills needed to start and run a successful business, including market research, financial management, and marketing.
By combining these three disciplines, the course will provide a comprehensive and holistic approach to entrepreneurship education for prisoners. Each perspective will offer valuable insights and skills that will help prisoners to not only start their own businesses, but also to thrive and succeed in the long term.
Overall, the second transnational meeting of the PREP project was a productive and collaborative effort, and the project partners are excited to continue working towards the main project outcome. They are fully engaged in creating the e-learning course content and look forward to the next meeting, where they will have the opportunity to review and refine their work.
