The PREP course is a self-administered digital learning program designed to equip prisoners with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to explore entrepreneurship as a viable path for reintegration. The course consists of 48 structured sessions divided into three key modules: psychological mindset, business fundamentals, and reintegration strategies. The psychological mindset module focuses on building motivation, resilience, and self-efficacy, helping learners develop a goal-oriented and proactive approach. The business fundamentals module provides essential knowledge on starting and managing a business, covering financial literacy, marketing, and operational planning. The reintegration module addresses key challenges post-release, such as financial stability, housing, and rebuilding social networks, ensuring a holistic approach to entrepreneurial success.

Designed for use within prison environments, the PREP course can be accessed offline, with all course files stored on the learning device, making it suitable for correctional settings with limited internet access. It combines text-based lessons, interactive exercises, quizzes, and video content to create an engaging learning experience. The course is most effective when applied several months before release, allowing participants to prepare, refine their ideas, and develop a structured plan for self-employment upon reintegration. By providing a structured pathway to entrepreneurship, the PREP course empowers individuals to take control of their future, reduce reliance on traditional employment, and build a sustainable livelihood.
